Twenty homes, twenty new beginnings.

Twenty homes, twenty new beginnings.

Twenty families in Dire Dawa received homes built with Kubik’s recycled-plastic walls — delivered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia and the City of Dire Dawa in about four months.

In December 2025, twenty vulnerable families in Dire Dawa received the keys to new homes — built with Kubik’s recycled-plastic building materials, from foundation stone to handover in about four months.

The homes were delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia and the City of Dire Dawa, under a national volunteer initiative — a promise made to the people they serve, and kept on schedule because Kubik’s interlocking walls build faster than block-and-mortar.

Every one of those walls is also a small act of cleanup: hard-to-recycle plastic pulled from the waste stream and given a second life as shelter. Speed, cost, carbon, and dignity — this is what they look like when they come together.
